My Primary Class

I have a great calling teaching the & year olds in Primary, they are the cutest class. There are 5 girls and 1 boy, but he is a very good sport about it. They say the funniest things...I was teaching them about the pre-existence and the big meeting with Heavenly Father when he presented the Plan for Happiness. I explained about how Jesus Christ said He would come and do the Father's will and give the glory to Heavenly Father, and Lucifer (also called Satan) wanted to make everyone do what was right and he wanted the glory for himself. I told them that Satan still tries to tempt us to follow him. One of my little girls just spoke up and said, "My sister follows Lucifer" I cracked up because her sister is the sweetest 10 year old girl, so I said "No way, she is such a good girl" No" she said "She likes to follow Lucifer because she lies to me when she said she would play with me and then she played a game with my brother instead."

A few weeks ago we had a visitor who was staying with her grandparents in our ward while her parents were away for the weekend. I asked her to tell us about her family and she said "I have an older sister and a baby sister, and my mom is 63 and my dad is 65.....oh, I mean my mom is 64 and my dad is 66!" I told her grandpa he looks great for his age.....

Last week a member of the Bishopric was visiting Primary, he was talking to the kids about Joseph Smith being in jail and he asked, "What is the first thing that you think he did?" A little girl about 5 said, "He crawled out the window of course!"

When they spotlighted a little girl they were telling about her 2 dogs and asked her their names, she said their names then said, "But don't pet Rosie on the butt, she doesn't like it and she will bite you...don't ever pet her butt!"

Aren't kids the greatest!!!!

I wish I knew who the kids were. Actually I'm not sure I would know them anyway. I love to listen to the little children. Katie's kids really come up with some of the funniest things, especially her 2nd child KP. He is the same age you teach, & yrs (he he). He will pray that he will be strong and not want to play the xbox for too long. One day he asked Katie if she had " called Jenny yet". Katie kept asking who Jenny was and he just kept telling her she needed to call Jenny. It finally dawned on her what he meant....Jenny Craig. She didn't know if she should cry or laugh.

Hmm I guess if I want to hear it all, I should come and visit your blog and catch what she is telling people.

How great that one of the big influences in my life as a teenager now has some gorgeous teenage girls. And yipee I get to steel a look into your life.

One thing I told my mom is that she could not move from the ward. I never really came back to visit her, it was more the "ward family". So I guess I have to convince my husband I still need to go to church with my people.

I loved your thoughts about the new year and Karen. I don't think it is funny that you talk to her. Isn't that what makes the gospel so unique and wonderful.

Well, I will be watching and reading... and to answer the question, no I never called Jenny I called her sister Weight Watchers instead.
